Information Minister, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has said that Ghanaians should not vote for John Mahama because he cannot be trusted with the resources of the country.
Oppong Nkrumah said that Mahama has a track record of giving the country’s bauxite to his brother Ibrahim Mahama and therefore such a person cannot be given Ghana’s resources to manage.
Oppong once again pointed out that if not for the fact that Nana Addo has taken over the affairs of the country, Mahama would have given 70%of Ghana Bauxite to his brother Ibrahim Mahama.
He said, “In December 2016 when the elections were done and we were preparing for a transition, the administration of the day led by Mr. John Dramani Mahama was working hard to transfer almost 70% of Ghana’s bauxite deposit to a company known as Exton Cubic closely related to Mr. Mahama’s brother”.
The Minister made this known at the New Patriotic Party’s Virtual Rally on Sunday.
The MP for Ofoase-Ayeribi constituency remarked that unlike Mahama, Nana Addo has been distributing the nation’s resources evenly to ensure that everyone benefits from the National cake.
From 2017, when the Nana Addo administration assumed the reins of power, that bauxite was returned to Ghana and it is today being used to build roads and other infrastructure for the young people of this country to benefit. In whose hands can you trust that the natural resources of this country will be best used for young people? God has blessed us with Gold, Oil etc. but it took Nana Addo to say that the Oil revenue should be used to pay the school fees of Ghanaian children”.
