According to the latest figures published by Johns Hopkins University, 4,101,060 cases have been detected worldwide, with 282,694 deaths and 1,408,705 people now recovered.
Nigeria: 4,399 cases / 143 deaths
South Africa: 10,015 cases / 194 deaths
Ghana: 4,263 cases / 22 deaths
Kenya: 672 cases / 32 deaths

South Africa cases pass 10,000 mark
South Africa’s health minister, Dr Zweli Mkhize, has confirmed that the country’s total number of coronavirus cases has surpassed the 10,000 mark.
In total, 10,015 people have been infected by the virus in South Africa – sub-Saharan Africa’s worst-hit nation – leading to 194 deaths.
